On the day of lenguages


Activity: traditional colombian dances.
Description: a cuple dancing, and described each traditional dances and costum.

Mapalé:
it comes from the colombian caribean coast, it was brought by african slaves. This is an erotical dance beteen a man and women, it's name is in honor of a fish called Mapalé.
typical costume: Women: wear pauma a short skirt and very short blouse, men only wear pants.




Cumbia:
origin: comes from the upper valley of the magdalena river the geografical area called Mopós.
typical costume: Women: long skirt a long sleeved blouse candels and sandals called abarcas, flowers in head.
men: white pants, and withe shirt and vueltiao hat.









Puya sinuana:
typical dance of valleys and savanalas in the Cordoba department ti's a slower dance of flirting and somance.
typical costume: same cumbia.

Puya barranquillera:it's a dance of joy and happines, it's perfomed by black people and it's faster than the puya sinuana.
typical costume: women short skirt and blouse, men wear short and colorful pants and no shirt.
